Excerpt from Email from Mr. Bishop 3/16/20:

At this time, and until further notice, students will not be allowed into schools, but staff are allowed to report and work in schools.  We will be working with our faculty on educational alternatives, similar to what Commissioner Blomstedt stated for the duration of the closure.  We are requesting that parents take time to visit with their children and develop a plan to ensure that the learning opportunities provided by their teachers are being successfully completed.  In order to ensure students, continue their education, it is imperative that parents encourage and support the multiple learning modalities being used. We are also asking parents and students to stay home during this time, avoid social gatherings and practice social distancing as recommended by the East Central Health District, the Center for Disease Control and the Commissioner/Governor.   We want to reiterate the serious nature of COVID-19. Remember, the most susceptible populations include our elderly and those with compromised immune systems.

We want to thank all parents, students and staff for your understanding and flexibility during this time of uncertainty.  The only way we can accomplish our educational goals for our children is by working together. We hope we have provided information to assist you moving forward, as we stated yesterday, we have faced challenges before and were successful. We will again get through this new challenge one day at a time with teamwork, planning, common sense, and community pride.  Should you ever have any questions, please reach out to us because we are here to help in any way.
