The Holy Family students and faculty visited a local farm field on November 15. We were volunteering to help pick up ears of corn that had fallen off corn stalks before being harvested. Just doing our part to try to not waste God’s bounty, get some fresh air, and possibly raise some funds while we were at it. A local feed lot purchased the ear corn to be ground into cattle feed. Local farmers volunteered their time and equipment to help gather and haul the ear corn. We worked in sunny 50 degree weather with a brisk wind.
