Up in the Science Lab, some very old seeds are getting a chance to grow. Each 4″ pot is housing seed that is 4-45 years old. They were discovered in drawers and totes here at school and in Mrs. Lindgren’s basement. Four of them are seeds saved by Father Jim! Depending on the size of the seed, how they were stored, and the toughness of the plant, many may grow, or none may grow. Due to the unknowns, all of the seed that remained in the packets were planted. Any sprouts will be transplanted with more room once they have at least two leaves.
