Reopening Plan – Letter from Mr. Bishop

(UPDATE – New guidelines coming soon. 9/22/2020)

Dear Holy Family Parents – We are all getting ready to embark on a school year that we never saw coming, and we still don’t quite know how each day is going to look.  I was hoping and anticipating we would be in a better place by August but this is the hand we are dealt and we are ready to do everything in our power to keep your kids safely in classrooms and in front of their teachers.

Three documents are linked below for you to read before we have our parent meeting this Wednesday, August 5th @ 7pm.  During the parent meeting we will discuss the Reopening Plan and answer any further questions.  We will hold the meeting outside of school.  Parents can gather on the road in front of school and on the basketball court.

Document 1:  2020-2021 – Lindsay Holy Family School – Reopening Plan – This document is our reentry plan for the school year.  I worked with Humphrey Public and St. Francis’s administration to create this document which is now modified to fit Holy Family’s distinct characteristics.  This is an extensive document but it will answer most reentry questions so I encourage all parents to read the entire document.  This Reopening Plan will evolve and change on a daily basis so we will keep an active copy on the school website.

Document 2:  Re-opening Tips and Information for Parents – This is a condensed version of the Reopening Plan and also contains helpful information and tips for you to reference as we begin the school year.

Document 3:  Pandemic—Statement of Understanding and Consent Form for Students This is a Covid-19 student consent form for parents to sign releasing Holy Family School from liability as we attempt to educate your student during a pandemic.  This document was drafted by the Omaha Archdiocese and our school attorneys.  Lindsay Frisch will have this document available for you to sign during registration or you can print this copy and bring a signed copy to registration.

Please contact me at any time with any questions or concerns.  We will all visit more Wednesday evening.

Sincerely,

Mr. Bishop
